For the third straight year, SAS was included in this annual ranking of the top 50 software vendors serving the retail sector.

2004 DM Review 100 Award
For the seventh straight year, DM Review readers included SAS in the DM Review 100, a prestigious award recognizing the top 100 business intelligence software vendors as chosen by the publication's readers.



Software Magazine's 2004 "Software 500"
SAS ranked #38 in size among leading companies that develop and market business software, #1 in the business intelligence/analytics category. Rankings are based on total worldwide 2003 revenues for technology companies with a software component. Among independent software vendors (ISVs) – those devoted exclusively to software and related services – SAS ranked #8 for software license revenue.



2004 DM Review World Class Solution Award

SQL Server Magazine named SAS Enterprise Miner software as the winner of the Best Data Mining Product category in the magazine's first-ever Readers' Choice Awards.

2004 CRM magazine Market Leader
CRM magazine ranked SAS as the CRM Market Leader in CRM Analytics and a Market Leader in Marketing Performance Management.



2004 CRM magazine CRM Hall of Fame
SAS CEO Dr. Jim Goodnight was inducted into the CRM Hall of Fame for his contributions in building the CRM industry.

2004 CRM magazine CRM Elite Award
AAA Mid-Atlantic, a SAS CRM customer, was honored as one of the CRM Elite for achieving remarkable return on investment through its use of analytical CRM.

2004 American Business Awards (the Stevies)
Jim Goodnight, CEO of SAS, won the Stevie Award for Best Executive. Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post (Sept. 22, 2002), the American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace.

2004 Application Development Trends' (ADT) Innovator Awards
SAS customer, Noel-Levitz, received an honorable mention in the "tools and technologies" category for its Forecast Plus for Recruitment tool, which provides accurate, statistical results that help universities increase their recruitment success.

2004 Cingular Wireless Leadership in Enterprise Application and Data Deployment (LEADD) award

2004 FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work for in America"
SAS ranked No. 8 this year; the company has been among the top 20 companies, and six times among the top 10, all seven years that the list has been published.

2004 Intelligent Enterprise "Dozen"
For the second year in a row, SAS has been named to CMP Media's Intelligent Enterprise "The Dozen" listing, which highlights the top 12 most influential IT solution providers.
