Jennifer MannVice President, Human Resources
Jennifer Mann, Vice President of Human Resources for SAS, is responsible for developing and guiding the vision for HR at SAS and articulating where the organization needs to go in order to help SAS recruit, retain and develop the best talent. Mann, who leads a staff of almost 90 people, oversees the HR Programs and Services, Employee Shared Services and HR Generalist functions at SAS, as well as a new organizational development group that focuses on identification and development of talent within SAS. With plans to grow SAS revenues to $3 billion by 2010, Mann believes HR must have a deliberate plan to:
Mann's priorities include aligning HR initiatives and resources around key goals of the company, which requires superior communication between HR and the leaders of the organization within HR. With similar challenges shared globally throughout SAS' HR organization, Mann works with counterparts around the world, through both formal and informal structures, to implement plans for moving these initiatives forward. A Human Resources Manager at SAS since 1998, Mann was previously HR Director for Micron CMS in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Since joining SAS, Mann has worked closely with executive leadership on employee performance and organizational effectiveness initiatives. Most recently, Mann managed a team of HR staff members who support more than 3,500 employees and 400 managers in Worldwide Marketing and R&D. Mann graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Business. She is a member of the national Society for Human Resource Management. She also has served as a company sponsor and mentor for one of the company's high potential leadership programs. |
